The Alfa Laval EPC50 is a microprocessor-based separator control system used with Alfa Laval S-type and P-type centrifugal separators for marine fuel-oil and lubricating-oil purification. It controls and monitors the separator operating sequence, including startup, separation, discharge, temperature and alarm functions. Alfa Laval introduced the EPC50 in 1999 and discontinued it for new equipment in 2010; the current replacement platform is the EPC70.
