The VAF Instruments OILCON Mark 6 is a marine Oil Discharge Monitoring and Control System (ODME) designed for continuous online monitoring of ballast and slop-water discharge from oil tankers. It measures the oil concentration in discharged water, calculates the instantaneous oil-discharge rate and total oil discharged, and can control the vessel’s overboard discharge system to prevent excessive oily-water discharge
